Charge Wireless, Live Boundless

Are wireless chargers of different mobile phone brands compatible with each other?

The fast charging of mobile phones has entered a stage of rapid development in the past two years, from the initial 5V/1A to the current 200W fast charging. While wired fast charging is developing rapidly, the wireless charging of mobile phones is also accelerating at a speed visible to the naked eye. And what I want to talk about today is also related to the wireless charging of mobile phones.

The wireless charging technology used on mobile phones mainly adopts electromagnetic induction. The mainstream charging standards are Qi standard and PMA (Power Matters Alliance) standard. The operation methods of these two standards are very similar, but they use 100-205kHz, 277-357kHz different transmission frequencies and connection protocols. Therefore, a device that is compatible with one standard is not necessarily compatible with the other, but there are devices compatible with both standards.

Secondly, we need to briefly understand the working principle of the charging board. According to the schematic diagram of the components that make up the wireless charger, the interior of the wireless charger is composed of coil wires around the magnet. Once the current passes through the wire, the moving charge will generate an electromagnetic field around the magnet. The strength of the magnetic field fluctuates, and this changing magnetic field generates alternating current in the induction coil of the mobile phone, which in turn converts it into direct current through a rectification circuit, and finally, the direct current charges the battery or provides operating power. After having a wireless charging standard, the job of the charging board is essentially to “ask” whether the mobile phone has a receiver of the corresponding standard.

The wireless chargers launched by many manufacturers provide a better user experience for mobile phone charging, eliminating the need for plugging and unplugging steps, as long as you put it on, you can charge it, charge it as you put it, and take it away. However, due to the relationship between the conversion efficiency and charging form of wireless chargers, most of the wireless charging power is not high. Compared with wired charging, the charging speed is much slower. This is why many users mind. The user experience is not bad, but the fast charging experience is much worse.

But for domestic mobile phone manufacturers, this is not a problem. In order to bring consumers a better wireless charging experience, major mobile phone manufacturers are thinking about wireless fast charging for their mobile phones, until 40W, 50W, or even 80W models appear. Wireless fast charging, making mobile phone wireless charging faster than wired fast charging.

Wireless fast charging of mobile phones needs three members, power adapter, wireless charger, mobile phone, and a specific power adapter cooperates with a specific wireless charger to charge a specific mobile phone to achieve wireless fast charging.

Wireless fast charging can make mobile phones not only convenient to charge, but also have a fast charging speed, but the side effects also exist. In view of the fact that there are more and more usage scenarios of wireless charging, if you pursue the speed of wireless charging, try to choose official products for charging accessories.
